Buy the card. Sell the card. Hunt the card.

The marketplace side of the Surgeon of Death desk: a storefront for what's in stock, a Sell to Us portal that turns your cards into offers, and a want list that posts your hunts — card, quantity, grade, and the price you'll pay. Selling starts with a scan: the hub scanner lives inside Sell to Us, identifies your card, and fills the form for you.

Three doors into the marketplace

Phase 1 of the roadmap, in build order: the Sell to Us portal first — the hub scanner built in as its intake step — acquisition requests alongside it, and the storefront they feed.

Storefront

Owned inventory with the photo, price, condition, and stock status a buyer needs to decide. Search and filter work the way they will at launch.

SAMPLE INVENTORY — placeholder listings and prices so the layout can be judged; live stock connects at build-out.

Sell to Us

Tell the desk what you have and what you want for it. Submissions are reviewed card by card — the offer comes back by email once the card is inspected against its photos.

Step 1 — Scan your card

Built-in scanner

The hub scanner identifies the card and its variant, then fills the fields below — name, number, set, and treatment. Pick a demo scan result to see the readout, tap autofill, and correct anything before sending. In the live build this panel is the scanner's real camera view. Prefer to type? Every field below works by hand too.

How selling works

  1. Scan the card at the top of the form — or type it in — then add photos and your asking price.
  2. The desk reviews it against current market and replies with an offer — the ask is the starting point, not a guarantee.
  3. Accept, and you ship the card in; it's inspected against its photos on arrival.
  4. Inspection matches the submission, payment goes out. If it doesn't match, the card comes back to you.

Want List

Acquisition requests, posted in the open: the card, how many, the grade, and the most you'll pay. When the desk finds one at or under your target, you hear about it first.

Card name and a price target are needed to post a request.

What the desk hunts

Requests are checked against the same sourcing the hub already runs — marketplace groups, listings, and the storefront's own incoming Sell to Us submissions. A card offered to the desk that matches an open request gets matched before it ever lists.

Targets are ceilings, not offers: the desk only surfaces a card at or under your number.

Open requests
